Can I just show up or do I have to book?

We strongly recommend you make a reservation prior to coming. We are just as disappointed to tell you we are fully booked as you are disappointed to leave our driveway without an adrenaline-filled experience. Make your reservation quickly and easily online or give us a call at (603) 367-4427. It only takes a couple clicks, and you will be guaranteed a harness!

What time can I come?
Our reservations are available anytime after 9:00am.

What am I attached to while on the course?
At all of our parks, we are using Edelrid’s Smart Belay. The Smart Belay replaces the traditional lobster claws used at many other parks. We have chosen to use the Smart Belay because these units eliminate the possibility of accidentally unclipping! With Smart Belays, you cannot remove both of your clips at the same time, ensuring that you are ALWAYS connected to a belay cable while off the ground.

What should I wear?
You should wear something suitable for climbing and allows freedom of movement. You must wear closed-toed and closed-heeled shoes, such as sneakers or boots. Have you ever seen a monkey in flip-flops or sandals? You certainly won’t at Monkey Trunks!

Are staff members on the course with me?
Course staff will be positioned throughout the courses that will assist you as needed. Similar to a lifeguard, we do not guide you through the whole course, but we will not leave you hanging when in need!

What is a Monkey Trunks Zipline Tour?
Our Zipline Tour's are a hybrid between a Guided Canopy Tour and an Aerial Trekking course. Simply put; it’s awesome! Trek through the woods on our self-navigated Zipline Tours consisting of a variety of ziplines and rope-course challenges within the trees.

Can I do just the ziplines?
Why would you want to skip all of the other fun stuff? We do not sell just a zipline package due to the fact that you have to use the course in order to access the ziplines. Trust us: You won’t be disappointed!

What happens if I want to get down?
We always encourage people to challenge themselves, but to stay within their limits. Our courses get progressively more challenging the farther you go and the higher you get. If you get stuck and cannot physically go on, we have a couple tricks up our sleeves to get you down.

Will I get a refund if I decide not to do it?

If you go through ground school and get up on the course to the first challenge and decide this may not be for you, we will refund your admission minus $10. However, once you begin the course, you will not be offered a refund.

Are you open in the rain?
The only time we stop monkeying is when there is thunder and lightning. A little rain won’t hurt you! If you have any doubts whether or not we are open, give us a call.

Is there anywhere for spectators and photographers to watch?
Non-participants are welcome to watch from the seating areas around the park. You are not allowed underneath the course for your protection; you never know when something could fall out of a monkey’s pockets. Parents are allowed on the ground in the kids' courses.

I have little kids. Can they go on the courses too?
Yes – we have smaller scale course for our littlest monkeys. The kids' course platforms are approx 6' off the ground. They each have 6-8 challenges, all with an 80' zipline at the finish! All kids’ course participants must be able to reach 4’ (48”) standing with their arms over the head and be at least 5 years old. When children can reach 5’4”, they have outgrown the children’s course and are able to use the adult course accompanied by someone who can reach 5’9”.
Kids must also pass a ground school safety class in order to go on the course. Adults are not allowed on the course, but are welcome to stay on the ground for encouragement and pictures! Parents must remain on the property while their children are using the course. The price for the kids' course is $29. There is no time limit and participants average 1 hour on the course.

Can I wear my own equipment?
While using our courses, you must use the harnesses and helmets we provide.

Who built the courses?
Our courses are built and maintained by North Carolina Based Challenge Towers, a leading Professional Vendor Member of the Association for Challenge Course Technology. Challenge Towers has installed aerial attractions in more than 20 states and 7 different countries. Visit www.challengetowers.com to learn more.

When should I arrive?
You should arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your reservation to allow time for checking in.
